Ayumi Hermitage, Traditional Houses

You can enjoy Japanese green tea in a calm, serene surrounding inside the sukiya style buildings with their tea rooms and tatami mat parlors. The traditional houses are wooden homes which were built around the mid-to-late Edo Period and have been moved and restored. The architectural style of the period is expressed exquisitely by the thatched, curved roofs.
