Ayumizaki Picnic Area
Sporting a sprawling grass park space accompanied by a lake-front aquarium, the Ayumizaki Picnic Area is an ideal place for relaxing and taking it slow on a sunny day. The “Aqualabrynth” (play pool) is a big hit with the young ones. Near the parking area you’ll also find a great place to grab a light snack, as there you can directly purchase a variety of local specialties, including local specialty “tsukudani,” selections of fish and seafood boiled and sweetened in special soy sauce. From there, travel the cycling road which extends right out in front of you and off along the embankment on the Kasumigaura waterfront.
